Peter Kooijman joined Kooijman Autar as a partner on 1 January 2001. At that time, he had gained more than five years of knowledge and experience in the various areas of notarial law at another firm. After gaining that experience, he joined the partnership to which his father Jan Kooijman also belonged.
Peter has a broad notarial orientation and still deals with all areas of notarial law. His specific knowledge at the intersections of family and inheritance law and corporate law means that he advises many entrepreneurs on their business and private situation. His knowledge of inheritance law and the concurrence of turnover tax and transfer tax ensures that he can realise large tax savings in many cases. He empathises with the situation and comes up with a creative solution.
Besides focusing on his profession and part of the management of the office, Peter devotes his time to his family and hobbies, including rowing, sailing, telemarking, cooking and working in his garden.
On the social front, Peter is active, among other things, as chairman of Dignus, the friends foundation of the Laurens Care Centre. Through the latter foundation, he is committed to offering people staying in care homes a little more than the basic necessities. Peter is a member of the Rotary Rhoon-Barendrecht and of various business clubs.
