We have several families as clients who have entrusted their notarial and legal affairs to us for three and sometimes more generations. They do so because we do our work well and have been a stable factor in the Rotterdam region for many years.
Kooijman Autar Notarissen's history, for example, as far as its name is concerned, goes back to 1947. In that year, Pieter Kooijman was appointed notary. After Jan Kooijman, our notary Peter Kooijman is now the third generation of notaries.
The deeds for which Kooijman Autar Notarissen is responsible go back much further, to 1869, when the oldest predecessor of one of our notaries was appointed notary.
When our founding fathers started their profession, the deed was still written by hand. Of course, this has not been done for a long time. We ensure that we are always equipped with all modern tools to do our work as efficiently as possible. Besides no longer using a quill, the type of work has also changed. In the past, for instance, it was often about the deed, while now it is increasingly about advice aimed at saving tax and avoiding costly litigation. A deed may be a consequence of such advice, but it need not be.
We have always invested, and will continue to invest, in developing new services and products. In recent years, for instance, we were at the forefront of beneficial ownership transfer, escrow services, living wills, digital vaults and much more.
Because we successfully focus on saving tax and avoiding costly procedures, we can count many successful entrepreneurs and companies among our clients. But also many individuals from all over the Netherlands and sometimes abroad, who do not want to pay too much tax and have no problems, know how to find us.
We now have three notaries, six junior notaries, a notary clerk and 20 other professionals working at our office. With this team, we are happy to serve you now and in the future.
