Dignus raises funds for projects and facilities that complement or innovate care for vulnerable people who live or stay in Laurens accommodation. We do that for seriously ill people in the very last phase of their lives who want to die in a dignified and respectful environment (palliative centre Cadenza). We also do that for (residential groups of) young people with non-congenital brain injury who want to participate fully in life without restrictions. And for all other target groups in Laurens' care.
In addition, Dignus has set itself the goal of supporting art and culture projects for the benefit, especially but not exclusively, of Laurens' clients. This is to encourage older and vulnerable fellow humans to participate in art and cultural projects in order to create a connection with each other.
Peter Kooijman of our office is committed to this fine Rotterdam cause as chairman of Dignus.
