Immovable property and some derived rights such as leasehold rights, flat rights and building rights are registered property. Such registered property is registered in the public registers held by the Land Register.

Besides registered property derived from immovable property, ships and aircraft are also registered property. This requires them to be entered in the aircraft register and ship register of the Land Register, respectively.

This entry in book requires the ship or aircraft to be branded. This is the application by an employee of the land registry of a plate with a unique number and possibly the application of microdots containing this number.

Registry property can only be transferred by notarial deed, which transfer is followed by registration of the deed at the land registry. Registered property can also be mortgaged.
