Legalisation

When you want to be absolutely sure that someone has signed a certain document, you can require the signatory to have his signature legalised by a notary public. The person signing the document has to identify himself with a valid proof of identity. When a signature is legalised, the notary public declares that a certain document has been signed by a certain person. The notary public does so in a declaration and confirms with his signature and official stamp that the signature under the document is actually the signature of the signatory. The legalisation certificate can be issued in Dutch, English or German upon request.
