Completion

Completion generally refers to the moment when the contractor believes he has finished his work and wants to observe this together with his client. As a client, it is therefore very important to have sufficient knowledge to be able to assess whether what has been built complies with what can be expected. Hiring an expert is recommended.

If there are no defects, you as the client will often get the key at that point. Any defects are recorded in a completion report. The contractor then has some time to repair these defects. If he has not done so in time, it is important to alert the notary who holds the 5% of the purchase price on deposit, so that he does not pay out the funds.
