With our history dating back to the late 19th century, we are an established name in Rotterdam. Our mission is: To provide peace of mind and security for our clients.

Our services therefore go beyond the mere drafting of notarial deeds. For this reason, our firm employs specialized notaries and lawyers, among others, in the field of family law, including inheritance law.

Each year we are involved in approximately 150 settlements of estates. Sometimes as estate notary, sometimes as executor or liquidator and sometimes as advisor. We know better than anyone where the sting is and that an executor has to deal with a lot. The executor has many responsibilities and is liable for many things.

For this reason, Kooijman Autar Notaries offers the Executor Service.

We also play an active role in the context of financial elder abuse. This is how our Steun & Toeverlaat service came into being.

Mieke Blok is responsible within our office for the Executor Service and the Steun & Toeverlaatservice.

With her life experience, extensive experience in the financial world and knowledge of notarial services, she ensures that you can function independently for as long as possible and that you arrange everything neatly for your executor.

Executor service

In your will you designate your executor, this can be your partner, a family member or a trusted person. The executor is responsible for settling your estate. Being an executor is not a job of honor; the law expects a lot from the executor. If the executor neglects his duties, things can go wrong. For example, the executor may be liable privately for late filing of the estate tax return.

By using our Executor Service, you will avoid the executor spending more time being a sleuth than actually settling the estate.

If desired, Mieke will visit you to go over everything of importance to an executor with you. Think about current subscriptions and insurance policies, who your tax advisor is, which bank you bank with, and your wishes regarding the funeral.

All these details are kept in a handy folder according to a clever system. This overview greatly facilitates the executor's task.

Once a year, Mieke will contact you to check if anything needs to be adjusted.

Naturally, all information you share with us as part of the executor service is completely confidential. In fact, everything is covered by notarial confidentiality.

In the conversations Mieke has with you, she will of course also provide practical tips and advice. As a result, you will benefit from our years of experience in settling estates and promoting a good relationship between the executor and heirs.
 

Support & Toeverlaatservice

Our (elderly) clients regularly tell us that they find it difficult to keep track of their administration. Remaining independent is often not a problem, but the red tape sometimes makes them insecure. Especially in this digital age.

Some people therefore ask their neighbors, relatives or other parties for help. At the same time, they wonder whether it is all familiar and whether the situation will not be abused.

For this reason, we offer you the Support & Toeverlaatservice. With this service you remain independent for as long as possible and we help you to manage your own affairs.

Our goal is to support you at the times and in the areas you want.

How? Mieke will visit you at agreed times to help you manage your administration, answer your mail, keep your insurance in order and contact institutions if you need help.

A fixed part of the Steun & Toeverlaatservice is assessing once a year whether your will and/or living will is/are still in order. If you wish adjustments, Mieke will prepare everything well together with you and then pass the baton to the notary.

This way Kooijman Autar Notaries is your support and stay when things are not going so well. Your peace of mind and safety are central to this.
